Harvin Clarendon County Library

This is such an amazing library. I came all the way from New Jersey and came to this amazing clean and warm welcoming inviting library. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Southern hospitality at its best!!!

I want to express my sincere gratitude to two amazing library helpers, Darlene and Shinasty, who went above and beyond to assist me and my father during our recent visit. My dad isn’t very tech-savvy, and he had several questions and requests, but Darlene and Shinasty were incredibly patient and understanding. They took the time to walk us through each step, ensuring we felt comfortable and supported. Their hospitality and willingness to help truly stood out, and they made what could have been a frustrating experience a pleasant one. Thank you both for your kindness and exceptional service—you made a big difference, and we truly appreciate it!

One of my favorite places is the Harvin Clarendon County Library in Manning, SC. This library is an absolute gem! The staff is warm, courteous, and knowledgeable. There are lots of programs to engage all citizens, both young and young at heart. I use the Harvin Clarendon County Library several times weekly: computer, print and fax services, Hoopla, Creative Bug, and many more. It is a clearinghouse of information!

This is my favorite library in South Carolina. I've lived in other counties and have visited their libraries, but none exceed the service of Harvin, even libraries that are much bigger and supposedly "better". If they don't have the book or movie on their shelves that you want, it's easy to ask if they can order it for you, or you can simply use SC Lends, borrow the title you want, and have it delivered at Harvin. Not every county participates in Lends, so this is an awesome service. The staff is also friendly and very helpful.
