Great little ice cream shop in Rathdrum. Much needed! Just opened (not even a sign outside yet. Super friendly staff and great selection of ice cream. The Crew working was fun, friendly, and had great recommendations, thank you! Stop in for a quick dessert after dinner at Nadine's or Westwood and try a cone.
We love Cone Crossing for Ice Cream, we usually pair a night at Nadine’s and finish with an ice cream! Tonight was a rough experience, prior to the Christmas Parade we were hunting for hot chocolate and happened to see that cone crossing has hot chocolate. After ordering, the cashier notified us that it was charged as a milkshake but she would give us a small discount. The final bill for the Hot Chocolates was over $17. We watched the staff pour hot water in a cup and mix in Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets. Pretty overpriced for some store bought hot chocolate. Not impressed.
Nice little ice cream shop in the heart of Rathdrum. Decent selection of ice cream and friendly staff. My only gripe is the tipping screen that pops up during payment for a cone to be handed over the counter? It’s not so much the percentage of tip that is offered as a “suggestion”, but rather the moral of why a tip is necessary to begin with, since no “service” was rendered in the transaction. Tipping should be reserved for full service restaurants only.
Ordered 2 hot chocolates. Tot was $18.00…that’s $9.00 each for a packet of Swiss Miss cocoa and hot water. When I questioned the price I was told it was 24 ounces. Since it was high school kids I did not want to make a big deal. The poor boy making the hot chocolate said well we really don’t just have hot cocoa we have a hot cocoa float that has 2 scoops of ice cream AFTER we ordered, paid & questioned the price. He said we have to charge the $9 price because dint have a button for just hot cocoa. BUYER BEWARE. I know I won’t be back.
Had a great after lunch treat here with the wife. What a great spot and selection of flavors. It's hard to find coconut/pineapple but they have it! Very friendly and a great addition to Rathdrum
