Penny's Pit Gourmet Burgers (Rathdrum)

So yummy! Gourmet burgers, perfect onion rings, amazing garlic fries. So much food in an order we had to take half home!

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Got my 5 stars in every category. It is a small place, but exceptional in every way. Stop in for a great meal when you are in the area.

My friend and I had heard of this place on a Facebook food board. Neither of us had been there before. When they advertise "gourmet" burgers, they aren't kidding. We each ordered different versions of their mushroom burgers, and ordered different fries as an add-on. Not certain I have had better fries, as the topping sauces were really great. We split the burgers, and both were fabulous. The gal behind the counter grew up around Kellogg, and had interesting stories. Definitely give Penny's Pit a try if you love burgers and fries.

I thoroughly regret taking so long to come here! The food was absolutely incredible! Our burgers were gigantic, perfectly cooked, and fresh. What was even better was the service though. We had Jamie as our waitress, and she was nothing but sunshine and rainbows. There was a couple that was eating next to us who were a little gruff with her, and she seriously just kept a smile and a sweet disposition.

This place is a true gem! From the delicious burgers to the wonderful fries and don't forget the wonderful service. I can't ask for much more! So sorry this business will be no longer in a few months as owners are retiring. Completely understand that but this place will be missed for sure!
