Dan and I came to Nantucket as a newlywed couple, and we were looking to spend one night at a finer dining, romantic establishment....Company of the Cauldron delivered on all fronts! Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by their front of house and led to a table that had congratulatory notes written all over it! The sommelier came over to our table after seeing that I'd ordered the house red wine and decided I'd to try a very healthy bonus pour of the white! The vibe is so romantic and there were people dressed in everything from khakis to full suits. We felt right at home and wouldn't have felt out of place if we had dressed down a little (unlike some places where you feel like a sore thumb if you don't wear the most expensive clothes you own). Thank you to Company of the Cauldron for a m

Our dinner at The Company of the Cauldron was the perfect way to end our trip on Nantucket. From the warm, intimate ambiance to the flawless service, everything about the evening felt special. The food was impeccable—truly one of the best meals we’ve had anywhere. The lobster was hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable, and we loved chatting with the chef when he came out to say hello at the end of the meal—a lovely personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for a meal of this caliber.

Getting a reservation was not easy, but we had a lovely experience. For the night of our reservation, the main entree was the Beef Wellington. Each item was prepared to perfection and full of great flavor. We opted for the wine pairing and I found that to be worth it, they were all delicious. A shout out to the staff, they provided us with great service from the beginning until the end.

I am not too sure about the price & whether it is justifiable for the island or not.. but I was underwhelmed with the overall service, atmosphere, and plating. The food was rich with lots of butter & it takes away some of the other flavors that you want to taste with the courses. If you tend to eat somewhat “lighter” you may end up leaving the restaurant with a really full & heavy feeling stomach. The popovers are a staple here, but slightly unjustifiable to be listed as one of the courses. I do think that there should be maybe 1 other small/pallet cleansing course included. As a collective group.. we would not come back for another meal not because the of the food, but just because we’ve had better dining experiences on the island. With wine pairings/alcohol $150-$200+ per person.

Ok, so my wife and I just finished spending 1 month in Nantucket and I have been waiting to share my review of this place so I could take into context our other dining experiences. And……. Unfortunately, considering the incredible atmosphere and service, this was our worst meal on the island from a food perspective. The 3 course set menu the night we went was: Bread Service Course 1: Caesar Salad Course 2: Swordfish Course 3: Corn Cake Everything tasted good, but none of it was even close to being elevated enough for $175 (before wine/tip/tax) set menu at what is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. Nantucket is not a cheap place, but this has to be the most mispriced rip off I could possible imagine. Below let me take a guess about how the price would be broken down versus what t
