Comfort Inn Ottawa

First off when checking in the Manager(woman with blonde hair) was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I woke up and had one of the best breakfasts I have had in a while. When checking out the same woman was coming in for her shift. She smiled and asked me how everything was for me, gave me a receipt and told me to have a great day. I did. I stay at a lot of different hotels when traveling for my job. I wish all of them had the standards that this one does. Can't wait to stay there again.

Positive: Beds were comfortable and it was close the the interstate. Negative: Overall cleanliness was not good. Bottom of the water fountain in the pool area was rusted with rust all over the floor underneath it Hot tub had few very weak jets and was barely warm.

I have stayed here several times, and I love this hotel. It seems for like home than a hotel. Beginning with the Manager, Sarah Bernard, the front desk personnel and housekeeping; every single person is professional, friendly and just a pleasure to interact with. The rooms are clean and furnished impeccably. The front desk/lobby area is warm and inviting. The breakfast area is always clean and has everything for someone to enjoy a hot or cold breakfast. I love the fact that it has an indoor pool. And lastly, the ease and efficient exit and entrance to and from Interstate 80, is very appealing for a weary traveler.

The room was a good size and comfortable and clean. However, the bathroom door did not close. The shower did not have a shower mat or grips/strips on the shower floor. So it was very slippery and with no bar to hold onto very dangerous. The exercise room did not have any cleaning wipes to disinfect the equipment after use and the treadmill belt slipped while trying to run, which caused Unsafe maneuvers.The pool and spa water was green and not appealing and neither one was in service for a couple of days. Bottom line if you are looking just for a room, it is a convenient and quiet place to stay. But if you want to use the amenities, you would be disappointed.

Standard queen room for one night. Everything was ok. The bathroom had a couple tiles loose. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. When I called the front desk to ask if we needed to leave the building, their response was “I don’t know”. Otherwise everything else was fine.
