Columbiana Public Library

I use to go to the Columbiana Public Library all of the time. Went to work for a minute and just stopped going. A group went from Shelby Woods Apartments to check it out. We were given a tour, answered questions, and met some of the employees. We enjoyed our visit. I hope to get back to making regular visits to the Library .

For two years now I have never one time ever had a pleasent or easy experience at the library. There's always something they always have to go on and on about fines and quantity in any other thing they can find to complain about. These women are in such a power trip, they argue, they are rude, they take too long to check you out they are knowledgeable about book content. There's one woman there who is kind and helpful and the rest need to be fired even the director. The events and summer programs are such a joke and poorly ran. Like a seek and and find for kids with an entire page of things and they even tried to trick them like what for a $0.10 toy isn't it supposed to be fun or is it the bar exam? Edit: Change in rating from 1 star. Since management has changed at this library branch, most of the issues have vastly improved; and is much more professional now. They are never open. I have to drive right by that library to go to the Chelsea or another library (full regular hours) to get a book because Columbiana is always closed. If you work or go to school you can forget it. Even the tiny Wilsonville Library has (much) better hours. That’s very inconvenient and poor community service. They’ve milked the pandemic long after it is over to keep from having to open decent hours.

Wonderful place!!! Absolutely Kind and Wonderful!! If you are stocking your newly built or renovated home office or living space, to not check out the treasures of your local library is a mistake. Try it. It, the libraries, are the "heros" lying in the shadows awaiting the turning of another page or becoming the wisdom of another age brought to new life.

Very helpful staff and convenient hours. They are open on Saturdays and late on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A town as small as Columbiana is fortunate to have a full-service library like this one.
