Cocoa Diner

Haven't been here in a while...was here visiting friends and an easy place to connect. We were here for lunch and really enjoyed the food and service. Very attentive to our needs. Had to have a turkey meal since it was very cold out and also the sticky buns and sourdough French toast...all were very good. We will be back again 😀

Tonight, I had 1981 for dinner. Like, I was 11 years old again, and at my friend's house for dinner and his mom, God bless her, can't cook to save her life. Everything is bland, and brown, and came from a can, box or bag. But it's dinner and she's feeding me so I say "thank you" and I eat it and then I'm full. Okay, the long version: I pulled into the parking lot and I was one of three cars. The diner looked suspiciously empty through the window. I walked in. -- "So Into You" by Atlanta Rhythm Section (1977) is playing -- The place looks like it was decorated some time in the 1980's -- wood paneling, mirrored wall, drop ceiling. -- "Sweet City Woman" by The Stampeders (1971) starts playing -- I ordered a hot beef sandwich w/gravy; mashed potatoes, broccoli, a cup of beef vegetable

Our server Rana was an absolute gem. So friendly and helpful. Food was hot and delicious and as ordered.

Great service friendly staff adequate portions! Only complaint was the heat! It was chilly when sitting but warm when I stood up 🤔 all the heat was above us 🙃 they need fans to keep the heat down 😁 or maybe warmer curtains with all those windows? But overall great place!

Iconic. Lovely. Delicious. That’s how I’d describe our breakfast here! Lauri and I had breakfast at Cocoa Diner on Saturday, and it was such a delightful stop. The place has a classic diner charm — cute inside and out — and that comfort-food vibe you hope to find first thing in the morning. The food was tasty and hit all the right notes for a relaxed, satisfying breakfast. It was even more special knowing her grandfather used to stop here long ago, so sharing a meal in a place with those personal memories made it extra meaningful. Highly recommend a visit if you’re craving good breakfast and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere! 🌞❤️
