Absolutely no place better in Jersey for Italian specialties than this. It’s hard to put into words how consistently this place delivers—everything you try somehow tops the last. The mozzarella, lobster tails (sfogliatella filled with the best cannoli cream), cannolis, eggplant—hands down the best around. If you want authentic, this is where you go. The bread, the espresso, the cookies…everything is outstanding, especially the pistachio latte! This family-owned spot is truly a one-stop heaven for Italian groceries, deli items, and bakery treats. Plenty of places do one thing well—this place does everything well, which is what makes it so special. An absolute must.

Old school Italian bakery/deli. Smells and tastes amazing even from the parking lot. Choose between deli subs, hot food specials, prepared pizza/stromboli/rolls/etc. and bakery goods. It’s all v good or better. Don’t forget the delicious samples!

Thank you Clemente’s🙌 My stepson Joey aka JerseyyJoe came home with the most delicious goodies from here!! The focaccia sandwich was so tasty fresh and bursting with meat!! Then we tried that amazing out of this world little puff of a pastry that blew us away!! It was so airy light and delisioso😋 and the pastry cream was perfection OMG Thank you again we could eat them everyday 🥰 Cannot wait to take a drive up to get some more delicious goodies😊😘

UPDATE 2/7/26 Delis are to North Jersey what Abbott is to Costello. Every town has them—some old, some new. The Italian deli might be the greatest culinary show on this planet—a wonderland of sights, sounds, and especially smells. Located in a highly industrial area of South Hackensack, and right off of Route 80 is a brick oven bakery called Clemente producing a huge selection of bread, including homemade pizza, focaccia Barese, “sausage bread,” zeppole, taralli, biscuits, and friselle Clementini (they’re a big wholesaler). The shop also has a ton of prepared food servicing the many office and blue-collar workers in the area; it’s an excellent place to have a sandwich made for one. Upon entering as regulars to this local favorite establishment, my partner and I decided on Chicken Cutlet

Wonderful italian deli clean and well lit, great selection of anything Italian you want to eat😁 Small meatball hero. The meatball was meaty and flavorful with a nice sauce that complemented it, it could have used a little more sauce. Just the right amount of mootz. The roll was fresh, but a little disappointing. Crust was a thin didn't have a lot of flavor.
