It was a dead monday or tuesday when I was there. that's the only reason why the atmosphere got a four. and the service gets a three stars because they wouldn't make me an old fashion. bixby other than that, the food was spectacular

A true Peruvian cuisine makes you feel like you are in Peru. The food is delicious and the prices are average. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine.

We recently visited New London’s only Peruvian restaurant, CJ Peruvian aka Pollas a la Brasa! They told us they recently expanded, and the bar/dining room area was beautiful. Though they were out of a couple of items on the menu that we were interested in, the waitress was quick to come up with suggestions of other popular dishes. We decided to get an appetizer of salchipapas - though simple, we’ve just never ordered it before and wanted to check it off our list! My fiancé loves a good Pisco sour and was very happy with the one here. The rotisserie chicken was flavorful and served with a delicious side of beans, and I enjoyed my beef with pesto pasta. All of the food came out very quickly!

We stopped in on our road trip from NY to Boston. I tried the jalea/ceviche combo. The jalea was good. The ceviche was Ok, My daughter had the caldo de gallina. She said it was Ok as well. The serving size was more than adequate. My wife had the pollo a la brasa. Overall, we were content. We would go back to try other dishes, as they have a decent variety.

Our second trip to this unassuming gem did not disappoint. The restaurant is split into a bar side and dining room. Plenty of seating. Everything we tasted, the roast chicken, steak, rice, beans, french fries, fried plantains (maduros), and passion fruit juice (jugo de maracuya) was delicious. True Peruvian flavor profile. Warm service in English o en español.
