As a person that travels extensively both internationally and domestically the BBQ found at City Limits is bar-none...It's about the food and the southern atmosphere. If you’re looking for the ultimate BBQ experience, look no further—this place is a meat-lover's paradise. The moist beef brisket and tender beef ribs are absolute standouts that literally fall off the bone it all, practically melting in your mouth with every bite. Don't skip the smoked chicken wings either; they have that perfect deep, smoky flavor that sets them apart from the standard bar fare. The macaroni and cheese is incredibly creamy and often cited as a fan favorite. The southern classics of greens, beans, potato salad, and coleslaw are all perfectly seasoned and provide the ideal balance to the rich meats. By al

We stopped by on a Sunday and by the time we got to the counter to order they were out of most of their proteins. The owner kept coming out to update us as far as what he had left. We roughed it out and made it to the counter and ordered. The pull pork was great. The Texas Tater was fabulous as were the collards and shells and cheese!!! So we wanted to try it again, so we went back yesterday. The line wasn’t long at all. We only waited about 30-45 minutes. We had a beef rib, brisket, Texicano sandwich, collard greens, shells and cheese, hopping johns, and hash and rice. This is some of the best food that I personally have ever eaten. The people were all very courteous and went out of their way to help!! I would strongly urge you to try this if you’re looking for a different spin on barb

Just like all the rave reviews in national media publications say, this place has excellent food. But if you're a barbeque afficianado looking for the "best barbeque ever" and you believe the hype, you might be disappointed. Favorites were the chopped brisket and mac and cheese, but everything on the menu is very good. Whatever you pick, you can't go wrong. They ran out of the pork burnt ends at about 12:30 just before we got to the front of the line, so unfortunately we didn't get to try them. The ribs were just too exorbitantly expensive to even consider ordering. Be prepared to wait in line for potentially hours and spend ~$35 per person for takeout or just to eat on picnic benches in a rundown shack of a building. Wait time at 11:45am on a rainy summer Saturday was close to 2 hours.

The hype for this very cool bar b que joint is spot on! We arrived 45 minutes before they opened the door today, and there was a line already, by 11:00 there were 50 people waiting 😳we got in no problem the owner came out and talked about his menu for today, describing in great detail and how he orders farm to table meat and vegetables; example it takes them 3 days to make their delicious beans: he has all kinds of different sauces and clams you won’t need any, and he was 100% correct 😊be prepared for a feast and enough food for two days: food is outstanding, staff treats you like your old friends, owner is very personable, and apologies for his prices, but this not your average barbecue joint and goes into great detail about how he pays top dollar to get the very best product that he can

What a feast! It was like being invited in to the City Limits home and served like family! I arrived about 11:30 on Sunday for their 12:00 opening. The chef came out while we were in line and gave us a run down of what to expect(timing) and the specials of the day. I had to try all the meats so ended up with a hot dog, pulled pork, chopped brisket and burnt ends (Char Sui style). The meats were all cooked so perfect I did not use any of the tasty sauces on the side!! The homemade hot dog was smoked and covered with delicious brisket chili. I did the sweet beans - perfectly cooked pintos that are very similar to our family recipe and the greens beans that were juicy and delicious. While they are only open 9 hours a week I'll have to be more careful to plan my Columbia travel timing. Thanks
