City Barbeque

Here on a work trip! I was walking this whole shopping center and this suite was on my list to inspect for the owners of the center. Once I was done working I decided to come back by this restaurant City Barbecue. All the typical BBQ favorites. Nice flavors, great potato salad. Pulled Pork sandwich was piled high. Best decision I made today to stop in for a late lunch. Management is fantastic. Staff is friendly. Great atmosphere and rustic flare. I highly recommend this location at City Barbecue!

I live in Kansas City (and have lived there most of my life) and I'm a bit of a BBQ afficianado, so I know a thing or two about BBQ joints. As such, this place is not anywhere near my home. It's north of Chicago. Considering the finite capacity of my stomach, I haven't been able to sample much from this place yet. But I have found the pork belly burnt ends to be delicious. Also, I had never heard of corn pudding before, so I was feeling adventurous enough to try it. I'm glad I did. I think I love that stuff. So the pork belly burnt ends were juicy and tender with a sweet honey-based glaze that really went well with them. None of the BBQ sauces that you can add to a little cup were able to improve on the flavor over the honey glaze, so it's probably best to eat them just as they come. At

Found this sweet spot by accident. The Cowboy brisket sandwich was great. My wife had the smoked and fried wings which also was great. They have a Tuesday special that sits right at home. "The St Louis style ribs" which I wanted to try but got full off the Cowboy and didn't have room for them. The side salad was all fresh veggies. None of that veggie in a bag premade salad you get from a lot of places. The atmosphere is very relaxing and family friendly. A place to make sure I stop back by on our return trip.

My husband and I were in town for our Anniversary and my birthday and decided to give City Barbecue a try! I got the smoked and fried wings, banana pudding, and a side salad. My husband tried the Cowboy and said that it was great!The wings were amazing!!! The salad was super fresh and the banana pudding was almost as good as mine! Lol The ambiance was quiet and enjoyable and the sauce variety was great! Will definitely be back!

If you are BBQ lover you will like this restaurant. The food is very tasty. Some non traditional drinks + soft traditional drinks. I choose the " Judge Sampler" and I did not regretted.
