China wok

We finally tried China Wok in Eldersburg (formerly China House). It was pretty average but I enjoyed the flavor of the sauces. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and it had a nice spice 🌶️ and flavor to it but the only vegetable it had was onions and scallions. Lots of onions. I love onions but it was too many onions and could have used at least one other variety of vegetable. 🧅🥴The meat was thin sliced and tender... But there wasn't much meat. The Gen tsos chicken was good made with dark meat and nicely breaded but some pieces were overcooked. I enjoyed the sauce. The hot and sour soup had a nice flavor but there wasn't much substance to it. The wonton soup (which I'm sorry I forgot to photograph) was the best and had nice broth. The service was fast and friendly. If I go again I probably won't

We order from here weekly. The food is always very good to fantastic. This used to be the location of China House and there are reviews on here for China House NOT China Wok. I can assure you the food is great, the young woman up front is very kind and the kitchen is doing a great! The dumplings are some of the best and we order them almost every time. Their crunchies are made there and delicious. They often add freebie ones in our order, even with dishes that traditionally do not come with them. It’s not on the menu specifically, but ask them to add the meat of your choice to the Szechuan green beans. Delicious. Food usually takes 15/20 minutes. Our favorites are the Singapore Noodles and General Tso.

I've tried their curry chicken, chicken chow mein, pork chow mein, Singapore rice noodles, double-cooked pork, all variations of fried rice, and of course the egg rolls and soups. So much better than the previous business! This is now my #1 choice for Chinese food in Eldersburg. Highly recommended! I wish the new, young owners the best of success.

Friendly staff. I ordered small shrimp fried rice. The rice was extremely dry with salty pieces of eggs that was extremely hard. The rice had plenty of carrots and peas. Not good at all.

I can only judge Chinese food based on the what I order every time. General Tsos chicken and fried rice. I like it a little spicy with the red peppers and they did not disappoint. Best General Tsos I've had since China Dragon closed. Hunan, New won lin, Asia taste don't do General Tsos as well as China Wok.
