China Garden

One of the worst carry-out Chinese's food I have ever had. The Mapo Bean curd, had ZERO mala, and was in a sticky sweet brown sauce with peas and carrots. Do they not know what Mapo Tofu is? The hot and sour soup was okay. Should have known with the Blasé attitude on the phone when I ordered and the young lady said they could not make the Hot and Sour soup extra spicy as it was pre-made. BTW, I also asked for the Mapo to be extra spicy, and not only was it not extra spicy, it was less spicy that the hot and sour soup that was not spicy. First trip there and last!

China Garden was decent. Had Kung Pao chicken and shrimp spring roll 🥐. The Kung Pao was fine and not too salty. So was the shrimp roll. Nothing to rave about. But good enough to give 2.75 stars *** and give a recommendation. One thing that I didn't like, I had to pay for my own water. No soda fountain and I do not like canned Coke. Also, plastic forks and paper plate. I decided to eat in restaurant and it was pretty bare. No silverware. The fixin's were all in small plastic packets. I will go back of I am in the neighborhood and craving Chinese food.

Saved our Christmas dinner :) Got the best rice noodles I’ve had in a while! We also tried the steamed dumplings and general tsao chicken (& fries) - thank you

Wings were decent Atmosphere was drab & empty (ordered it to go) Service was not that great, lady was not polite, no warm, friendly greeting like everyone is mentioning. Almost asked for a refund but I was too tired & hungry to give it any energy.

First-time customer. We decided to stop by and grab a quick meal. First impression was not good. The stale smell of the restaurant hits you as soon as the door opens but we were hungry, and it was late evening. When we ordered our food, the young Asian lady was short-tempered and became irritated when I asked about menu items. The food was ok. My summary is that patronizing China Garden in Landowne is not worth it. There are other restaurants with Asian cuisine in the plaza that have better Asian food, customer service, and environment.
