We split the #2 combo which comes with 8 wings and 4 giant chicken tenders, 3 sides and 4 sauces (2 for wings, 2 for tenders). We opted to get our sauces on the side, and we're so glad we did! The chicken was so perfectly seasoned it did not need any sauce! I will say that the Thai Basil is my favorite out of the 4 sauces we got. The Garlic Soy and the Sweet & Spicy were pretty similar to each other, and the Gochujang tasted like Gochujang. They have all the sauces with tasting spoons to try at the counter. If you want super juicy and crispy, battered chicken, go with the wings! The tenders were also double-fried and crunchy but the wings retained their moisture much better! We ordered our food to-go since we figured we wouldn't finish it all in-house. They included cutlery, napkins, ketc
If you love crispy food, you should visit Chikin Lickin in Waukee. This restaurant serves Korean Fried Chicken, which is double-fried to make it extra crunchy. It is a casual place where you order at the counter, and the staff is known for being very friendly. The menu has many tasty choices: Chicken Wings and Tenders: These are big, juicy, and covered in signature sauces like Garlic Soy or spicy Gochujang. Korean Corn Dogs: These are fun snacks that are often filled with stretchy cheese. Sides: You can try waffle fries, egg fried rice, or kimchi for a bit of spice. Bao Buns: These are soft, fluffy buns filled with meat and fresh veggies. One of the coolest things about this shop is their "Pay It Forward" wall. Customers can buy a meal for someone else and leave the receipt on the wall so
I stopped here on a whim with my daughter after seeing other patron's photos of the delicious looking food. I ordered WAY too much because I just couldn't decide what to get. We had wings, tenders, fried rice, loaded waffle fries, fried dough balls and a couple bao. Everything was incredible! I'm not sure how you can make tenders so juicy with breading SO crunchy, when it's slathered in delectable sauce!? But here's the thing... The best part of the visit? The people that work there. Specifically Freya (I hope I'm spelling that correctly). She was absolutely delightful and oh so helpful. We live in Omaha and don't venture your way often, but I can promise you one thing, Chikin Lickin is now a part of every future trip east. Don't miss this place!
Went here on a whim with my daughter through the drive through. I ordered a original chicken sandwhich, side of kimchi two drinks and a kids meal. I will say firstly the price 10000000 percent matches what you are getting. My chicken sandwhich was huge and they were generous with the sauce. My only complaint was just a bit of a slightly oily bun, but didn't event care because I was too busy enjoying how crunchy the chicken was. The children's meal also is a decent size. Like I could have fed both my kiddos on one meal and my daughter loved it. The kimichi is super fresh, and while not as spicy as my personal preference, I would still eat a big bowl of it in one sitting. The ginger is super fresh and everything is nice and perfectly pickled. My only slight knock is it did take a bit
The chicken was fresh and hot, and the sauces we tried were fire. I was impressed by the portion size as well. It’s very messy/sticky, so it’s nice they have a sink to wash your hands back by the garbage cans.
