Chef Wang's Restaurant

Today was my first time trying Chef Wang’s and the food was amazing! My mom usually prefers halal options, so she ordered shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow mein, and sesame shrimp. Recently one of her patients brought food from here to her office, and she loved it so much that she asked where it was from so that’s how we discovered this place. When we called to place our takeout order, the man on the phone was incredibly kind. The prices were very reasonable, and when I went to pick up the order the woman working there was so sweet. She even added egg rolls on the house, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The restaurant looked very clean and the tables were set up nicely. It’s like stepping back in time with the pink table cloth, glass table top and calligraphy on the wall with Chinese painting. Circa mid 1980’s when Chinese cuisine in Korea is a unique food genre. They do very dense noodles they make (pulled to order) in the kitchen and they are authentically Korean style. Whenever I go I see Koreans eating there. So you can order your jajyangmeon. And the seafood noodle soup. I like this place for its straightforward wait staff and really fast kitchen. Everything is served piping hot and perfect for cold weather. Their portions are pretty big also. The wait staff is very accommodating and can ask the kitchen to make food to the customers liking.

Delicious food! Friendly service! We walked over from our hotel at 9pm and were promptly and happily welcomed in. Our food was delivered quickly after ordering which was great as we were tired from a long day of travel. The kung pao chicken and garlic noodles were so good- just what we were looking for. Would absolutely order again! We recommend this spot if you’re in the area and craving delicious Chinese food with friendly service.

Authentically old-school Chinese-Korean eatery. Masters of burnt onion and burnt cabbage flavors, sweet, savory. Seasonal specials written in Korean and Chinese on place mates taped to mirror walls, amazing. Sizzling Rice Soup (누룽지탕) truly sizzles, hard to find these days. 깐풍오징어, a thick crunch to calamari, tossed in sweet paprika sauce. 양장피 is flavorful and refreshing, a nice play on textures with raw cucumber, noodles, stir-fried pork and steamed shrimp. Mustard sauce tossed in tableside is a treat.

Good place. Lunch prices so awesome. And they provide a rice with everything. You don’t have to pay extra money for rice which I think is ridiculous. I have Chinese places where you have to buy rice!
