Bashamichi Sushi and Bar

Wow. I didn't expect to find good Japanese food next to a travel hotel. The atmosphere is like a medium size, Japanese City, local restaurant. First of all, I judge a sushi restaurant based upon the rice. If the rice isn't good, it does not matter the toppings. The rice was correctly seasoned and complimented whatever toppings were on the sushi. We also had a donbury and a ramen and both were excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly. We were very impressed and very happy to have found this place on a cold December evening. The quality for what we pay I'm getting out.

Stopped by here before going to SFO and was very happy with the sushi! I would highly recommend the Bashamichi roll. I also got the O Toro nigiri and the hamachi nigiri. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting high-quality sushi and a chill environment. The service was also amazing - sit at the bar if you can and the chefs will hand your sushi to you!

great food! very clean and the sushi sashimi was the best! service was a little slow but that’s because there were a lot of people. they were attentive and very courteous. I would come back here again!

Unexpectedly good. Excellent nigiri. Hand rolls just right. Balance of fish and flavor. They have the basics and I’d love to see them venture to other kinds of fish like mackerel and sardine. If I lived locally I’d come here again and again. Nice Japanese music. Easy atmosphere. Enjoyable for a long meal.

The fish is so fresh and sweet! Definitely recommend! Will come again to try the ramen. The price is reasonable. You can park in the underground parking lot of the hotel next door. The bento comes with two sizes: two dishes or three dishes. Mine is two and it's enough for an adult.
