Chaps Pit Beef Aberdeen

This BBQ spot delivered a fairly average experience overall. The beef and sandwich were okay, and the combo platter was just alright as well. The meat tasted decent — ranging from okay to good — and it was nicely moist and soft, but it didn’t quite reach that “wow” factor you hope for at a BBQ place. Prices are about what you’d expect for BBQ in the area, and the portion sizes are pretty decent for the cost, which is a plus. The restaurant atmosphere was fine and casual, nothing particularly memorable but comfortable enough for a meal. Overall, a solid option if you’re in the area, though not a standout compared to other BBQ spots.

Its a simple place with simple food done with pride. If you like Maryland style pit beef and bbq this place will set you right. I remember going to the other location was I was much younger but when I found out there was a location a bit closer we made the hour drive for it and it was ever bit as good as I remember. The staff was very helpful as well.

Visiting the area and business and Chas had some good reviews, and I noticed that they were a triple D restaurant visited by Guy Fieri. Usually when I go to those restaurants, they do not disappoint. The beef and the sandwich was smoked and tender to perfection piled high at first I wanted Small sides, but when they showed me the small sides, they were like those little plastic cups that you put ketchup in so I went for the next size up, which of course was too much. They had horseradish horseradish sauce and several types of barbecue sauces that you could try so I took little samples of each one and tried them. CHAPS! Just as good as the original. Ill admit it's been a minute since I was here last. Got the chicken tender platter...Just like a remember. Juicy, moist, a ton of chicken. Simply delicious.

We always enjoy Chaps' pit beef and pit turkey a couple times a year, generally for holidays -- including the 4th of July. As usual for the 4th, we ordered several pounds of pit turkey and a pound of pit beef, along with some Old Bay wings. When I placed the order -- Juan (hopefully spelled correctly) took the order and reviewed it along with the total price -- asked if I needed rolls, etc. - very friendly and helpful. He said, "Don't worry -- I got you, Boss -- I'll be here when you pick up your order." Sure enough, Juan was there, and the food was prepared fresh - not a long wait. Also, Juan and another team member asked if we wanted condiments - what type of sauces, etc. -- they saved us the time in getting those and gave us plenty of the requested condiments and sauces for the wings,
