Harford County Library Aberdeen Branch

This is a welcoming and open library with a kind staff and a good assortment of books. The children's section is easy to navigate and offers everything from easy reader to contemporary graphic novels.

Excellent friendly staff. The multiple high-tech self check out systems are ready to use without a wait and even offer "you might also enjoy" suggestions on the screen based on the items you are checking out. The shelves are well stocked and materials in good condition. This is the first library system I've seen that offers musical instruments (violin, ukulele, etc) and American Girl dolls (and super hero action figures) for check out. Harford County library really goes above and beyond (free yoga and Zumba classes!!) to bring residents life enhancing experiences.

Love it here. Customer service is top notch here. Close by the playground and is almost always open. Since Festival Parks restrooms are never open and their restrooms are public. (Retrieve a restroom key at desk) They have the library divided into sections like children, adults, teen and etc. Activities are always going on, on any giving day for kids or adults. They have a play area for the children. Computers for public use (must have a library card to use). They have printers (costs to print) and a fax machine (also costs to fax). Library cards are free sign up and get one.

Pleasently surprised . It may be small but it has a wide range of books and the best activities for children. A nice play area for the kids that's far enough away from the adult section so not to disturb, but close enough to keep your eyes on the kids. We love it!!!

I wouldn't recommend this library to anyone. Staff is very rude. A staff member approached my infant son asking HIM ( 12 months) why he didn't have shoes on. A few moments later another staff member told me that he couldn't be there without shoes. I explained to the lady that he was just learning to walk and didn't wear shoes yet; I think the situation could have been handled more professionally. Just make sure all infants have shoes on their feet when visting this place. Update: The rude lady hasn't been here lately. Average selection of books. Decent updates. Still mediocre in my opinion.
