Dc charcoal chicken

The food was absolutely delicious. I had shrimp white cilantro rice with salad. As a New Yorker visiting … I was highly satisfied. And the attending cashier was extremely polite. Will definitely come back

1/3/2026 I just needed something after running errands in the area. Was greeted by light music, the smell of roasting chicken and a hello from Shanto. Grabbed a lamb bowl with all the things, very nice portions lots of options to choose from. The chips were perfectly crispy, seasoned and the guacamole was 🔥(and I’m not one to like it). And to top it off the hibiscus special drink was the best very refreshing wish I had gotten a large. Enough seating for about 30 nice booth seats, lots of natural lighting coming in. Shanto provides a great attitude and recommendations. The restaurant had clean surfaces and fully stocked coolers. Can’t wait to come back and actually try the charcoal chicken!

Food was wonderful, but the service was even better! Definitely recommend to everyone. They have a huge variety of dishes and I personally ordered a chicken bowl! If I had to rate it out of 10 I would give it a 12. They are doing a great job and I am beyond happy to have this place in town!! Not only was the food great but the mango and Jamaica drink was wonderful! we were overly lucky to be treated with a red velvet cake and a caramel mousse cake!! Thank you guys so much for such an amazing experience 😁❤️

The food and portions are great! The chicken has a lot of flavor and the staff is always welcoming. If you want additional flavor, add their green and yellow sauces (all over)…just the right amount of flavor and spice for chicken on charcoal. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FOR SURE!!

My new favorite place! I got the 1/2 chicken, plantains, and fried rice. When you walk in, it smells so good. Like you KNOW the food is flavorful (and it was). Chicken seasoned to perfection, plantains were sweet, and the rice had a good flavor. I also got some sauce, mild and spicy, both were amazing. The spicy sauce (green) wasn't too spicy just a lil zing. The employees were so nice & patient since it was my 1st time. I will def be back!
