Chapin's Fish & Chips and Beach Bar

My boyfriend played a show here the other weekend and he brought me back here on our vacation. Can we just talk about how delicious their clam chowder is? Like wow. They have pieces of bacon in it and it's not overwhelming. It's so delicious. They offer a cup, bowl, or a quart. I got the 1 1/2lb lobster which was only $30 yesterday (obviously the market prices change all the time so make sure to ask) and my boyfriend got the fish and chips. The food was so delicious and the staff was great.

Chapin’s Fish and Chips is a solid go-to for classic Cape fare with a family-friendly vibe. The food was good across the board, and the service was attentive and welcoming from start to finish. The quahog was a real standout—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The peanut butter mudslide is the best!!! We tried the special sampler, which included a creamy chowder, fresh shrimp cocktail, and a deliciously stuffed quahog—definitely a great way to try a little bit of everything. The kids’ chicken fingers were a hit too, with generous portion sizes. We also had a wedge salad and truffle fries, which were decent, though nothing to write home about. The outdoor seating area is lively, fun, and perfect for families. It’s clearly a popular spot, so we’ll be sure to plan ahead next time to enjoy that

Everything was delicious!! We waited a long time to get a table (almost 2 hours) but we could get some drinks before to eat. The atmosphere was nice indoors and outdoors. Excellent music and bands! (Just too loud inside so nobody can talk). But they have the best seafood. Different choices of sides and fresh and healthy too (broiled cod yummy!!!) and the prices are good!!

My wife and I stopped in while on vacation. When we walked in, there were plenty of employees around — at least 10-12— but very few customers. We were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant, away from everyone else, which felt a little strange. The table behind us was clearly used and hadn’t been cleaned, with food all over the carpet beneath it. Our server, Zack, was the highlight of the visit. He was kind, timely, and checked in right when we needed him. He seemed to be one of the only staff actually working — wiping down tables, stocking condiments, and taking care of guests — while most of the others were just sitting or standing around doing nothing. My son and daughter-in-law held their wedding reception at Chapin’s this past weekend. The event was a complete success, and we were particularly impressed by the outstanding level of service we received. All of your staff members were attentive and professional throughout the evening, ensuring that every detail was handled seamlessly. The cocktails, raw bar, appetizers, and buffet were all excellent. Additionally, the space was perfectly set up for the occasion, contributing to the overall success of the celebration.
