Had been wanting to try Chapin for a while, but the cash only setup made it a bit tricky at first. Finally came prepared with the right change (and then some). The place has limited about 3-4 people seating with stools on opposite sides of the wall. Tried their beef burrito — total came to $14.75 with a side of Tamarindo. Fair enough by Princeton standards. The taste? Solid. Not something that’ll knock your socks off, but definitely good value for the price. Noticed it’s a spot frequented by Latino customers — so I trust they know the authentic flavors far better than I do as an outsider. All in all, worth the visit if you’re in the area and craving something casual

Reasonably priced simple authentic meals. I love this place, been eating here for years. Very cheap compared to the rest of Princeton; though be prepared to take out if squeezing between strangers at a bar against the wall doesn't appeal to you. They/he/she can only make a subset of the things on the menu at any given point in time, but those dishes are getting all their attention and are delicious.

It was okay. Price was reasonable. 20 minutes to prepare. I ended up getting something different to what I ordered (only noticed when I got home) and there was more than one piece of hair in the rice and beans.

The restaurant was authentic and reasonably priced. The food was good, but nothing over the top. You can get your typical Latin American lunch consisting of meat, rice, beans, and tortillas. Fortunately I had a Spanish speaker with me. Otherwise it would have been difficult to communicate. This is where the local Latinos go. There are a handful of stools and limited counter space so don't go with a large group unless you plan on taking your food to go. Definitely try the homemade horchata.
