Champy's

My sister, brother and I ate there on Oct 20 while in Florence for a mini family reunion. We three moved from Florence many years ago to FL and CO. We saw the ad for best fried chicken in our Airbnb and we were up for the challenge. Champy’s did not disappoint! We had the pleasure of having Sarah as our server and she was also 5-star! We loved the chicken and sides and ate every bit. My siblings got the banana pudding to go and said it was delicious. We had to each leave a dollar bill to document our great time at Champy’s! The inside and outside is eclectic and my kind of place. We liked the booths and had plenty of room. Can’t wait for a return to Sweet Home Alabama and Champy’s!

I like this place. The weather was perfect so we sat outside. The atmosphere is great, HOWEVER, those booth seats have got to go. It takes away from the charm and is just not cute. I saw one family that wanted to sit but was turned off. I'm definitely coming back. Oh...the fried catfish is real!! The portions were perfect for the price.

Great lil hometown chicken restaurant. Great service, laid back atmosphere, perfect sweet tea, and really good chicken fingers. Some of the best chicken fingers I've had. Loved the fries and the banana pudding was great!!!! Will return soon.

I attended a birthday party here with around a dozen ladies for a dear friend. The catfish was wonderful with a delicious crispy crust and perfectly cooked fillet. Various dishes were ordered and all were complimentary of their food. Fun atmosphere and good service even with our large party.

Chicken was ok, I’ve had better. Potato salad and Cole slaw were terrible. Onion rings and fried pickles were good. Not worth 48 dollars for two to eat. Save your money and go to Bojangles
