I stopped in for a flat white and it was excellent. Smooth milk, clear espresso flavor, balanced sweetness. It was good enough that I bought a bag of beans to take home. The shop is cozy and has plenty of options on the menu, but you can tell they focus on doing things correctly. Quality beans, well-dialed espresso, and staff who know their craft. Easy choice to come back when I am in the area.

The owner’s behavior felt racist . I had a really unpleasant experience here. I’m a student, and I just stopped by to have a coffee and read for a bit. I ordered my drink and on my phone took a couple of photos while I was waiting, and out of nowhere, the owner came over and told me I couldn’t take pictures. Her explanation didn’t make any sense — something about people “leaking” photos — even though there are plenty of pictures of this place on Google Reviews. I’ve never been to a café that bans photos. What bothered me even more is that she only said this to me. I later saw another review from an Asian woman who had the same experience. Parking is extremely difficult — the lot is very small with only a handful of spaces. The person who took our order didn’t seem very knowledgeable and told us their mochas were just chocolate and milk with no espresso. We tried clarifying multiple times but eventually gave up and ordered something else. Unfortunately, the flat whites we received were not good. Maybe their pour-overs or other menu items are better, but we won’t be back to find out.

This is an excellent find in Northern Virginia! The pastries and coffee were excellent. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable. The vibe and space were good for working, talking, and hanging out. My new favorite spot.

Ordered an iced mocha and asked how many espresso shots they typically put in it. I was told the mocha is just milk and chocolate. I clarified and asked if there was any espresso in the mocha at all. She said no and that I would have to pay extra to add espresso. I ordered a flat white instead. It’s in a 12oz cup (twice the size as a typical flat white) and tastes like steamed milk. Cannot taste the espresso at all. My brother ordered an iced caramel macchiato and got a shot of espresso instead. They were also out of drip coffee. Out of our group of 8 people, the only one happy with their order was the one who ordered an Americano.
