Cedar Lake Branch of the Lake County Public Library

Miss Melissa is the best story time librarian we have ever had pleasure to go to. Although we are from Saint John, we come only here for story time. She loves interacting with kids and makes her programs so much fun for kiddos! If you haven’t had a chance to come here for story time, don’t wait any further.

I attended the Mother Goose on the Loose program this morning with my grandson. He absolutely enjoyed the songs, activities and especially the bubbles. The teacher was patient, warm and so animated (FUN) during the 30 minute session. It was the perfect amount of time for this age group. What a great experience for us! Thank you Cedar Lake Library!

We love our Cedar Lake library! They always have super cute crafts for the kids to make. Since COVID they even have them ready for quick pick up in baggies to take home. They have scavenger hunts around the library each month. When your child finishes the hunt they bring up their score card for a prize! The staff is great, and we LOVE going there!

Never had an issue there until today. I'm so glad they are doing curbside pickup. But the lady doing it forgot about me. After 15 minutes of waiting (I thought maybe they were busy inside even tho there was only one other car there) But anyways when I called back, anther lady answered and said that the other person must have forgotten about me! I'll still give 4 stars because I understand that curbside is a new service. Hopefully after reading this they will fix any issues.. But I was almost late clocking back into lunch because it took almost 20 minutes to get my book.

Great staff and books. There are also a variety of educational and work computers. There are also craft bag and scavenger hunts that change weekly for kids.
