Catrina’s Tequila and Taco Bar

Visiting after a recommendation from a friend. We were immediately seated and brought chips and salsa. The chips were not hot, not even warm. The salsa was just a little different from other restaurants that I have been to. It took a little while for the waitress to take our order, but they were not busy. Once we received our food, the waitress did not come back to check on us until we were finished eating. When the food arrived, it did not look appetizing but it was good. The steak and chicken tasted like it was cooked on a grill which gave it a good flavor. The rice was different from any other rice I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant, but it was good. Lots of decor in the restaurant using skeletons if that’s your thing. If I go back, I think I would try something different.

Unassuming building but once you step through the doors it's a whole new vibe. Beautifully decorated, with bright colors and lights, and spacious seating options. Very friendly staff, great daily specials, and the food was amazing. I had two choripollo street tacos and the flavor was so well layered. The elote was fresh and seasoned perfectly and I ordered maduros (plantains) to top it off on a sweet note. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

This was best tequila bar and restaurant that I have been to in a long time. The passion fruit margaritas were amazing. I ordered the chupacarbras with steak and chicken and it was flavorful and well seasoned.

Excellent dinner! Food was tasty and very nicely presented. Huge portions. Could easily split a meal.

Where do I start. The outside of the establishment can throw you off. But being that some of the best food comes from hole in the walls I was down. Soon as we opened the door was met with a clean and inviting atmosphere. Fast foward the food was unbelievable. This has got to be one of the best establishments in the state. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful. I really have no complaints. I had the braised chicken tacos and the beef rib tacos...amazing ...again flavors and freshness was spot on. Margaritas was delicious as well. I would drive back for dinner in a heartbeat.
