Castañeda's Mexican Food

Noticed many of these location in the Palm Springs area so wanted to see what kind of place it is. This location is quite tired and needs a lot of care on the decor and maintenance. We tried a mix of tacos and they were actually pretty decent. Not at all what I expected from the place. The staff was nice but food did take a while to come out. It's definitely take out kind of place.

I am not a picky person and I always finish a meal. This I could not finish. The cheese is plastic, everything is soaked in grease, the red salsa is horrific, and it all lacks seasoning/flavor. The woman at the drive thru was nice so I feel bad leaving a one star but they charged me $18 for the worst meal I’ve had in a long time.

No frills standard fair Americanized Mexican food. Service was slow but the food was hot and decent. No real complaints.

104.00 and no one could eat their dinners. We arrived and Billy who helped me with my orders. He as very nice but seemed to be having a hard time hearing/ understanding me. So he asked me to pull forward to the window. We ordered 2 #25 and 1 #26 along with four flan. (Best flan ever.) We asked if the food was spicy and was told it was not. I am NOT a picky eater at all. The staff was very nice. I would say it was fairly clean. I ordered a taco that genuinely had zero taste. The ground beef was not seasoned. My husband ordered a chimichanga that tasted funny. For the first time I can ever remember I only ate half of the taco and was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried my husband's chimichanga and much to my chagrin it wasn't any better and kinda lukewarm. Disappointed to say the least. I never give 1 stars but this one can't be rated any higher. So very disappointing.
