Casa De Avila Tacos

Really good tacos and sides, rice and beans to build the perfect bites. The fried chicken rolled up taquitos layered with lettuce, queso freso and crema are sooo good I woke up thinking about them today! Drop by and eat, great family spot too!

Great tacos and super hot sauces. You can mix and match the taco platter. I had the birria, carne asada, and carnitas and the flavors were awesome

We were looking for a "snack" and we ended up at Casa De Avila Tacos. I saw a comment saying the tacos didn’t offer a 'genuine authentic taco experience,' but in my opinion they exceeded expectations. I’d even go as far as to say they taste more authentic than the tacos at Señor Ramon, which over time have slowly been whitewashed to cater to the surrounding area. I ordered the birria quesataco platter + 1 additional quesataco and a tamarind juice, which came with a side of rice and beans. The refried beans were absolute heaven. I kid you not, so many places fail at making proper frijoles líquidos fritos, but these were on point. I also asked if I could bring in my service pet, and they were more than happy to accommodate. Casa de Ávila Tacos is hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food in town. As someone born and raised in Mexico now living in Virginia, I truly miss the flavors of my heritage and this place delivers every time. I’ve tried their sopes de carne asada, carnitas and carne asada tortas, street elote, burrito de lengua, rice, and beans, and everything has been consistently delicious. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by their salsas, and Casa de Ávila truly executes...they’re spot on! The service is outstanding too, the staff knows the menu well and always has great recommendations. Highly recommend! 🌮🇲🇽

This Mexican restaurant opened in the space where another place used to be, and unfortunately, they kept the same chipped furniture - not a great first impression. Two people from our party of four arrived early and ordered drinks and appetizers. One of the drinks didn’t arrive until after all the food was served, even though we reminded the staff two or three times. The guacamole deserves special attention - it was basically diced tomato with a bit of avocado. Thanks for saving money on the food I paid for. The food overall was about 3/5. It’s hard to make Mexican food bad, but they came close. The shrimp taco was especially disappointing - bland and lacking flavor compared to other places.
