Had a Saturday lunch here with my mom and son and it was such a lovely experience. We went around 2pm (not peak brunch time), so it was quiet — which made it feel even more cozy and intimate. The concept is a fusion of Colombian and Venezuelan flavors (the name “Colven” is a play on both), and everything we ordered was delicious. We had chicken empanadas, tequeños, a Colven arepa (the beet-colored bun is such a fun touch), quesadilla, beef soup with rice, and everyone genuinely enjoyed their meal. Portions were generous — we happily took leftovers home and finished them for dinner because it was that good. Service was attentive and friendly, and the space itself is small, charming, and very Instagram-worthy without feeling overdone. It’s family-friendly but would also make a great casual
The staff here is so kind! We came in on a cold night and they even gave us a mini heater closer to our table. Very sweet and thoughtful of them, and they did it with no hesitation when they saw me and my friends were cold. Food was warm, delicious, and fresh! Get the passion fruit mojito! It’s perfect! They also play great music in the background!
there wasn’t much of a wait advisory. booked on valentine’s day though which i get can be busy. it was nice because there was a free valentine’s day liquor offered. however was not pleased with the wait for the food. it was a lot longer than the expected wait time, even considering the holiday. upon arriving at my reservation i was also asked if it were possible to change my seat to accommodate a last minute group of 4. i understand there is no harm in asking but my reservation was made several days in advance. the apology for the wait was appreciated when i had to cancel my long pending order to run to my next reservation.
I had placed a large order of empanadas for a potluck dinner with friends and they were a hit! everyone loved it. delicious and authentic. The best part of the experience was working with Adriana, the owner, she was so kind and attentive to my needs and it was a pleasure working with her. She even delivered the order herself to ensure it would arrive on time and in the best condition possible. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty authentic + family feel.
The staff is so kind! The cocktails and empanadas were amazing! The staff even brought a heater to make us warm when we came in from the cold! Definitely coming again!
