This was my first time trying Porto Ricain food, that was so good! The service was so nice, the food was perfect, people around were laughing and enjoying this place while eating. One thing to change, in my opinion, is to put more PR music/old latino Island songs. This place is kinda cheap to eat so you can enjoy as much as you wish. Be aware, the take only cash. Recommend you to go there.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Adela, and it instantly became my go-to spot for authentic, home-style Puerto Rican cooking. The place has such a wonderfully warm and homey feel, and the entire staff is incredibly nice, making you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The food here is truly exceptional. Every dish I tried was packed with flavor—seasoned perfectly without being overly salty. The portions are fantastic; everything is served in generous, sharing sizes. I highly recommend starting with the fried chicken even as a side, it was a huge, crispy, and savory portion. We also loved the mofongo, which had deliciously tender pernil mixed in and crispy chicharron on top, and the savory bacalao. Don't skip the pink beans either; they add wonderful depth of flavor t
This very small family run Puerto Rican restaurant has tasty dishes that have that home made flavor with very reasonable pricing. We uploaded their menu foe you to see what they offer and at what prices. The they have about 3 or 4 tables to sit 4 , a larger table to accomidate 6 or so and one or two 2 seat tables. Situated in what is known as alphabet city lin the lower east side so the establishment has no parking and the decor is very weathered with sidewalk seating when it is warmer. You will enjoy your meal. They are a cash only establishment . We had the pork mofongo that was pretty good with 2 Alcapurias that were over cooked and a bit too greasy. The pork and yellow rice were barely warm otherwise we would have given them 4 stars. They are worthy of 4 but they need some work
A small resturant with big flavor! Food is on the money, I had chuleta con-con, with arroz con condules, ensalad, (pork chop, rice and salad) excellent. There were six of us, luckily we were seated pretty fast, but people waiting outside in the cold to seat and eat. The food is worth the wait, not expensive at all....
Iconic Puerto Rican restaurant named after the late Adela Fargas (1936-2018) on Loisaida Avenue. The rotisserie chicken, beef with onions, rice and beans, and sweet plantains were delicious. Fast efficient service. No credit cards but you can use Zelle. Reasonable prices. And hey you might even see a celebrity as we did tonight.
