Carl's Steak Subs

Tasty steak with fresh toppings and bread. A size small is just enough and a large would be a bonus! Too bad they can't toast it. Definitely recommend and will be back

I was recommended by my brother to check this place out. I got the Carl’s Steak Special and Jack Fries (cheese fries). All for $25+ The sub had lots of meat and was flavorful. It was a huge sub! The fries portion was big as well and was worth the $8+ for them. I couldn’t finish my sub or fries as it both was big. Would I come back again? Yes if I’m in the area.

Dinged for non-transparent pricing. Yes it’s legendary for a reason - variations on the steak sub. If you’re looking for this, there isn’t a better place nearby. We split a large Carl’s steak special. And although it had generous amounts of fillings, I can’t help but to compare this to Market Basket’s Steak Bomb at less than half the price (almost as much meat), which is tastier. If I was in the area, I’ll might be returning to try their other steak combos. Biggest issue is that there are no prices on the billboard - the toasttab price says the sandwich is $12.50 (maybe for a small and I got a large), with tax and a small tip ($1.50 or not?), I was charged $17.50! A few tables to eat at outside the shop. Jul2025.

Honestly one of the best steak & cheese around, & I accidentally just looked up on maps closest sub shop and it brought me here. It was a great find as most steak & cheese around Boston don’t taste that good or are as filling as carls, subs are a good size filled me up & was just tasty. Also got some tenders & fries both were not bad. Overall great spot for subs & will def. Be coming back

All I can say is Hands Down Best Steak & Cheese in Massachusetts. I saw it on Tiktok and had to try it. BOOYYEEEEE am I glad I did. I got the Mexican that shit was on point. It was piping hot and cheese all melted and smelling helleva good!!! I will be back!!!
