I was stopped at the light on Lansdowne and noticed a new Jamaican restaurant had opened. I decided to try them out on my way back home and I'm glad I did! The woman that took my order was very friendly and told me the sides they offered. They had a touchscreen kiosk; however, there were no other menus visible. I was the only patron at the time so it was simple. I can see if more people are waiting to order and need to use the 1 kiosk how it may cause a back up. The restaurant itself is small, intimate, clean and comfortable with a couple of high top tables that seat two and a lower table that also seats two. Nice Caribbean music was softly playing as well. I ordered the oxtail platter with peas & rice, and cabbage and 2 beef patties. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. I n

Please do not make the same mistake I did. Don't be fooled by the reviews. I ordered the jerk chicken meal for $15.50 and was extremely disappointed when I saw the chicken was RAW!!! On top of that, the food lacked flavor the only thing that made it taste decent was the sauce. They also forgot my extra jerk sauce, which I paid an additional 50 cents for. The rice was soft and mushy I personally didn't mind it, but if you prefer firmer rice, consider this a fair warning.

The food is always so good and fresh. I particularly love the Jerk Pork, and the collard greens are beyond fantastic. We love this sweet independent place to pick up a quick meal in Lansdowne.

Lansdowne needs a Caribbean restaurant so I was exited to try it out. I was greeted immediately, the lady was real nice. Loved that she washed her hands as soon she entered the kitchen. Everything was clean and bright. I ordered a beef patty and lg brown stew with 2 sides. The packaging was good, no leaks or spills from the containers. Good portion size and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. I would recommend as a new place to try and I would go back! I hope they keep the consistency in food and service as they continue to gain business.
