If you're anywhere near the outer banks, Capt'n Franks is an absolute must visit place! This place is a local gem and hands down one of the best hot dog joints we've ever been to. The vibe is super fun and casual perfect for families, beachgoers or anyone craving a classic American bite!

After driving past here one too many times, I had to stop by and see what the rave was about. There was always a line whenever I was just passing by. So this time, I decided to give Capt'n Franks a try. The Food: The food here, were just okay. Nothing to tell home about. Just quick, fast service that gets the job done if you're craving a good hot dog. I went with the Texas Dog, Kraut Dog and the Chili Cheese Dog. All of them tasted good. However, I did order a side of hush puppies. And, those were awful. No flavor in the batter whatsoever and no amount of dipping sauce could have saved it. The Service: Service was fast and easy. Perfect spot for a great lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Huge selection of hotdogs and other sandwiches. The door came out quickly. Recommended stop!

This place really does it right. Simple, no-frills beach eats that are reasonably priced, fast, and super satisfying. All of the hot dogs that we tried were awesome- each with its own distinct toppings and flavors, and everything was fresh tasting. The nacho fries were awesome as well- loaded up with cheese, chili, sour cream, peppers, and pepper relish- they're sweet spicy creamy cheesy deliciousness in each bite. Lastly, the hush puppies were delicious! Simple southern goodness in every bite. It's worth noting that this place has a solid selection of craft beer that pairs well with the dogs! The atmosphere is awesome - sit on the upper deck if it's nice out! Service was top notch as well. It's a family owned and run place and you can tell they put a lot of love into what they do.

Awesome hot dog joint. A flavor for everyone with tons of toppings. Quick and inexpensive. Great value and fast service!
