Captains Fish and Chicken INC

We came to Cedar Rapids for our granddaughter’s dance competition and wanted something to eat before we left.. Seen this place as we were coming down the street. Went inside and ordered our food. Fish & Chicken etc. Amazing!!! Everything was fresh, seasoned and tasted really good! The chicken wasn’t too salty and the fish was piping hot and both tasted amazing. We ate in the car, but this was a passer by restaurant, and wasn’t looking for this but lucked up on it. We will be back👍🏽. P.S wait time was about 15-20 min, but everything was fresh and hot. This was on 1st Ave as well.FYI

This is the place to get fried catfish. I had the catfish dinner which was enough for both my wife and myself. I think they need some promotion, as it is the best place in town for a quick pick up - they need a simple fish sandwhich to attract more people to try them. Nice people as well.

Flawlessly executed no frills fast and fried fulfillment. You ask, they give. They have a variety of different fried seafood that most places in Eastern Iowa lack. They're pretty darn fast too great to bring the family and plenty of parking if you want to bring guests. I've mostly done takeout but they have plenty of room in the dining room for groups of four or more.

We arrived about 15 minutes before closing and were welcomed with no problem. Food was hot and fresh. The gentleman was helpful and engaging. Thank you from some weary travelers.

The food was blended with no seasoning. I asked for extra lemon pepper didn’t get any. First ave is the best one to go to. I thought I try them because they down the street from my house. Never again. Wasted of money. The was chicken old I couldn’t eat it. You can tell they didn’t want to wasted it so they fried it up
