Captains Corner Seafood Market

We found Captain’s Corner Seafood Market when on the hunt for fresh crab on a recent trip to the coast and can’t recommend it enough. The seafood is incredibly fresh, the market is clean and tidy, and the service impeccable (thank you, Javier!).

This location is an absolute must!! We come here every single time we visit. Their chowder is, hands down, the best!! Filled with clams and goodies. I LOVE their Saturday Steamer Clam special with the locally made Rosemary Roll & we can’t forget the delish crab cocktails and oyster shooters! They have a terrific menu of fresh made food to eat but they also carry fresh locally caught seafood to take home as well! You absolutely have to come here! Oh and we can’t forget their selection of beers sodas etc. at an exceptional price, and the view is pretty magnificent too!

Try the smoked salmon sandwich. Really good. Great views and a chill environment. The clam chowder was bland and not creamy. That’s the only negative.

This working dock is a beautiful thing to behold. The food is as fresh as it gets. The chowder is a culinary triumph! Some people enjoy the gloopy thick cream variety but the chowder here is a beautiful, fresh, balanced stew that lets the clams shine. If you don’t like fresh vegetables or succulent seafood please avoid.

While shopping in Tillamook, an employee recommended this place to me, and I found it by searching for "Live crab" on Google Maps. Although I initially planned to catch crabs myself at Jetty Fishery, considering the rental and license costs, I decided it would be better to buy crabs here and cook them myself. The price of $12.99 per pound was very reasonable, so I asked various questions while examining the place. It had a clean kitchen, well-prepared dining area, and just the right beverages like beer and wine, perfect for enjoying seafood. The outdoor dining area was also excellent. Since the price for live and cooked crabs was the same, I bought cooked crabs—one for takeout and the other as part of the $25.00 crab basket package.
