Captain D's

We just moved to Lenoir and were bummed to find LJS was closed down. But then we found Captain D's. Walking in had a great vibe. the cashier who helped us was friendly and professional. The shirmp and fish and chicken plates were perfectly proportioned. The food was much better then the other place. The coleslaw and okra were delicious. We will definately be back.

We had the seafood platter and a shrimp platter. The food was excellent! The guy cooking knew exactly how it's done. The lady that took our order was very polite. We drive about 30 miles to eat at this Captain D's. It had been a while since our last visit. Glad you got the good slaw and tartar sauce back!

Capt. D's is a decent place to eat, a lot of older people seem to know this. The service was very fast. By the time we found a seat in the crowded dining room, the girl hand delivered our meals. The conversations at the surrounding tables was amusing, ranging from someone having a heart attack to city politics. Overall this was an interesting place to visit.

Tgis place is usually really good but been hit or miss lately. Tonight I got two orders, a grilled whitefish, and a seafood platter. Well she asked if I wanted my whitefish "Blackened, lemon pepper or regular? I don't think they usually ask me that but good to have options so I said Regular... well they gave me blackened anyway. Then my seafood delux platter... tgey didn't put fish in the box, instead they seem to have added checken. It is like this if all you have is blackened just say that... and if you don't have fish... how about just letting me know 🙂 I was disappointed. There have been a few times that the fried fish has tasted like way more "fishy" than normal, but at least it was fish... this was like wth? Don't sleep on Captain D's! They have amazing food, always hot and fresh. Everyone who works here is so pleasant and friendly!
