Captain D's

Captain D’s was founded in 1969 in Donaldson Tnn, its original served seafood and Hamburgers until 1974. I have always been a fan of its competitor Long John Silvers. If given the choice I usually choose Captain D’s because you can tell the fish from the chicken, and for me you have to have both when dining here. The prices are reasonable. Service was friendly, the atmosphere could use some update.

I like the Country Style Fish and the Sweet Tea!! Service is friendly enough. It might be northern KY, but it's still southern! Atmosphere is Coffee Club gang so its fairly quiet

The food is good, we like the senior discount Wednesdays, only complaint is restaurant needs deep cleaning dining room is dirty all the time, 😐

We don't have a local Captain D's. So nearly every time we go to Ashland KY, we get some delicious Food at Captain D's! It always looks clean, and the employees are always nice and friendly. Plus they have some yummy fish! 😋 I don't eat other types of seafood, but my boyfriend loves their seafood platter!! Their prices are very reasonable too, about the same as Long John Silver's. BUT I must say, it really is so much better tasting than Long John Silver's!! Their mac & cheese is very good, cheesy, and creamy! I also love their coleslaw and hush puppies!

Stopped in and got two chicken dinners while on lunch for work food came out hot and looking very good the staff was very nice will go back for sure
