Capt. Jim's Crabs

I have to say I was very disappointed with my last half bushel crab’s. Last year I was very satisfied and highly commended with a half bushel crabs I took to a pool party. The price was great! The crabs were a heavy tasty mixture of male and female with corn! This time I called the day after to complain and maybe get a do over for half price because this bushel was terrible & light. Not one female crab in sight. A waste of money after this family ran business cashier told me that the Pickins are supposed to be like that & quoted me double the price if I get what I ordered from last summer. Scam

Sold a dozen of female l/xl crabs with an ammonia smell, was told to bring them back just to have a manager rudely deny to properly inspect them and instantly refuse me a refund or credit. I killed him with kindness and he gave in. Then me being positive I placed an order (spending more money) for jumbo male crabs which half of those were bad. Quoted one price bank statement shows an added $15+ per transaction. Sad part is the first time I ordered over the phone 🤔 got awesome crabs this time I went in person. I wonder why the difference 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I’m not from Maryland, but coming here to visit all my life and coming here eating crabs, Captains Jim’s are the best to me, and places like Conrad’s and skipjacks, are good places but over hyped because of their names. But I’ll stick with Captains never ever disappointed, and if they have a bad day, which is normal I’m still going there. Actually going to get my 1/2 dozen today .

I buy crabs from Jim's crab house often. I have always been very pleased and preferentially buy crabs from there due to previous quality. To my surprise, I got a bad batch of crabs. I ordered large crabs for 6/19 and picked them up at 7 pm. I was told there was a special and I would be getting another dozen free. So when they were bad, I was very surprised. I called the next day and spoke to a young lady and told her I would not be able to get the crabs back to her until 6/21 but I would leave them in my refrigerator. I went to Jims on the afternoon of 6/21 to return the crabs.
