A small town library but it has everything you would need in a library! Getting a library card was easy; just fill out a form and show them proof of residency and an ID. You have to live in the town to get a library card from there but you can use it throughout Connecticut. The Librarian was friendly and helpful. The library was clean and organized. There was a teen section as well as computers for your use. I went to the preschool/toddler section and it was a good size. They had tables with puzzles and a mini play kitchen area. It was nicely decorated with kid's artwork. My toddler had a good time! They also host a number of events such as story time for kids 1-3 years old. This is also across the street from Canton Intermediate school which is convenient.
Absolutely the best children's story time in the area. The librarians are fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful. Great selection of high-quality children's toys, which are constantly rotated, which keeps the children engaged!
The best library ever! Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful collection development--so many tempting new books each time I enter the library and peruse the new book shelves. Generous interlibrary loan policy. The librarians obviously listen very carefully to the community when developing the collection, planning programs, and providing information services. It always feels amazing entering this library!
The librarian for the Children’s section is a menace. My daughter took a second sticker for her craft and she was telling her off , wagging her finger in her face. I walked over and she looked like she needed a Xanax. Then my 4 year old played with two toys at a time and she told her she couldn’t handle it and she didn’t want to go home and think about the songs the toys were singing. This lady of off her rocker. She needs a long vacation or just find a different job. My kids told me they felt embarrassed and hurt and didn’t even do anything wrong. She is so high strung and quite frankly probably has severe anxiety and ocd and shouldn’t be treating children like that because of her mental illness. Can she please be fired so we can enjoy the library without worrying about her invasive thoug
Very good
