Canneti Roadhouse Italiana

Very nice dinner but felt a little rushed at the beginning. We told the waitress we were in no hurry and wanted to enjoy our wine and focaccia for a bit before ordering. The pace was perfect after that. I had the Italian roasted chicken and my wife had the pasta dish. Both were excellent.

I'm a little conflicted about this place. The atmosphere is lovely and has a cool, rustic Italian vibe for sure. Multiple areas available for seating, which was nice. The food was good. Steaks were seasoned and cooked well. My pasta dish was very watery but still tasty and fresh. The Tiramisu was an interesting interpretation yet tasty and unique. The issue was with the staff. Lots of loud passive-aggressive exchanges between pretty much all servers. Almost zero team work without catty bickering. Lots of yelling at staff by owner, lol. It was funny and sometimes uncomfortable, especially when you know they are complaining about your tables order. They need Gordan Ramsey to come in and get things in order 🙂.

We visited based on a recommendation but we won’t be returning. We arrived at 5:30 at the start of dinner service and were the only patrons until we left at 6:30. We ordered the mushroom soup shot, focaccia for the table, a tagliatelle with wild boar, and chestnut corkscrews with a mushroom ragout. The soup shot was watery but fine. The focaccia never came. The server brought our mans and we reminded him about it. He said it was still heating up and would be out soon. He went back and brought it out, and it was clear that it had been forgotten about while heating, left too long, and served anyway.
