California Tacos Cantina and Distillery

This California Tacos Cantina and Distillery spot is easily my go-to. I love that it’s tucked inside the SLO Public Market, and the food never disappoints. Our server was incredibly warm and made the whole visit even better. I ordered the carne asada tacos with rice, and every bite was packed with bold flavor. Their $2 Tuesday tacos are truly a steal! The patio seating also gives everything such a nice vibe. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Great experience, with awesome food and drink! The menu has a lot of good options, making it hard to choose. The $2 taco Tuesday allows one to try a lot of meat options without breaking the bank. The margaritas are really good, with a very long list of tequilas. The ceviche appetizer is much bigger than expected and is great to share or have as a meal in itself. Service was friendly and timely with filling water and checking in.

Great birria tacos with some fun margarita options. The team here is super friendly and helpful. Loved the overall vibes of the place. Will definitely be back!

Okay this is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever had! First of all service was amazing, the waitress was so sweet and attentive really made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant (even thought it was PACKED). Second the drinks were delicious, I got the cali margarita that hit the spot after a long week. It was refreshing and had the perfect hint of tequila! Now for food… the arugula chicken salad was chiefs kiss, the mango salsa they have on top was such a nice twist! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh and everything was prepared on the spot. Overall 11/10 experience and have been recommended this spot to EVERYONE!

Great place in the SLO Public Market. It has a nice classy feel & is tastefully appointed inside. I was greeted by the wonderful owner at the door and we chatted for awhile one day. They have a full range of Mexican foods and an expansive drink selection as well. The upscale bar takes dinning and snacking to the next level...so that one cannot even guess that one is in a complex. If one wants a more formal sit down dinner in SLOPM, this is it. Outside dinning is also an option as well. It is nice to have Mexican food done right in this market. Mucho Gracias!
