Gemlato, San Luis Obispo, CA

(This photo was after we tried it btw). I have had all the ice cream in slo so I was super excited that we now have gelato! The website might need some work but I like their gelato especially the raspberry sorbet. I also had the amaretto and espresso brownie. I wish the amaretto had a stronger flavor but everything was very good!! And super cute + everyone is so nice! Will come back

Very good! Ever since traveling to Italy, I've been searching for authentic gelato in the US. Gemlato is the real deal, nailing both the texture and traditional flavors. The hazelnut and pistachio were awesome! I think the small is the perfect size with two scoops.

Let’s start out with the good: the taste is great, lots of samples, and a big seating area. However, the portion sizes leave something to be desired (and my stomach empty). As you can see in the photos, the scoops we all received did not even fill the cup. In fact, when mine was scooped the employee actually scooped some out to lessen it even more. I understand this is a mini, but the cup is so small and it was not even full. It sucks because my friends and I were so excited, we’ve been waiting since October for them to open but unfortunately not sure if I would return after this.

Very light, smooth gelato. They use real ingredients. Small business and nice people. Definitely my new go to.

Incredible flavor! All gluten free which is huge. Cones have a great chewy texture to them. I honestly didn’t find a flavor I didn’t love. They have very unique ones (like avocado lime which was delicious), but also some traditional ones like strawberries and cream and chocolate chip. Definitely excited to have this place in town!
