California Pizza Kitchen at Pearlridge

California Pizza Kitchen in Honolulu was a great experience. The pizza was excellent, with a delicious, perfectly baked crust and fresh toppings. Service was fast and attentive, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. A solid spot for great pizza and a relaxed meal in Waikiki.

Went to this location at around 11am we were the 3rd person in our waitresses section should be easy right. WRONG... our server was not customer friendly, no smile, no hey how are you. It took her 10min to bring water. Fast forward. After 45min we get our food. Reminder she had 3 tables including ours and 2 tables had their food. Now we get our food and asked for more bread due to us waiting, again she brought bread but didnt acknowledge us that she would. Ok so we get our food and my plate was so pathetic I had to ask her if they forgot food. Video/pics to come. She said thats how it came. I ordered the shrimp scampi zucchini fettuccine and lets just say my pasta was literally 2 spoonfuls and sliced thin zucchini with some non flavored shrimp. We stopped by this place before heading to the airport to wrap up our vacation, craving some good ice cream with a brownie. Since we couldn’t find a great dessert spot nearby, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We ordered a few appetizers from the happy hour menu. The Mexican street corn and buffalo cauliflower wings were both delicious and full of flavor. However, the chicken dumplings didn’t quite meet our expectations—they were just okay. For dessert, we ordered the brownie with ice cream, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The brownie wasn’t warm, and it had a bitter taste that didn’t pair well with the ice cream.

Our BBQ chicken pizza was great. The burger was also pretty good - cooked well, good flavor, bacon was crispy, but the cheese was cold and unmelted and the bun was also cold. It would’ve been even better if they were warm. I think we got about 8-9 fries with it and a ton of crumbs, almost like someone dumped out the last of them onto our plate. They were super crispy though which was good. We opted to get a pizza to go for $11 (fantastic idea) but the pizza we took home is awful! It’s tiny and the toppings are almost non-existent. There’s no way they would serve this at their restaurant. I feel like we got tricked. We were told it was the same pizza on the menu but it isn’t. It was also cold and super loud in the restaurant.
