Dave's Ice Cream at Aiea

I've been here a few times. Never had any issues with customer service. Workers have always been friendly and helpful. Tried several samples without them complaining. Prices may be a little expensive but their ice cream is so creamy. Not much area to sit inside. There's plenty of parking with a handicap ramp as well.

I’ve been to other locations, but in my opinion, this is the best one there is. You actually get full-size scoops here and everyone in there is friendly and helpful. It’s a really cute space just off the road. There’s free parking but not many of them. This ice cream shop makes all kinds of ice cream goodies, have them packed to go or you can pick some up already packed. Many of the flavors here you cannot find in stores. And Dave’s ice cream is super delicious and creamy. Some of my favorites are Poha Berry, haupia, and banana fudge. SO GOOD. Give it a try you’ll be glad you did.

Dave, not sure who you had working this Friday but the service was absolutely horrible. We came because we saw the ratings but when we arrived the woman who was working there was less than hospitable. She spent more time screw facing me and my family than greeting us when we came in the door. My wife even said hi 👋 to her and she glared at us as if she wanted to fight. I wanted to know what the problem was but I instead opted just to leave. Sorry, I am not a tourist but when people talk about horrible experiences in Hawaii I didn't expect to have that at your shop. Can't recommend at all to my coworkers.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Dave’s Ice Cream on Moanalua Road. I walked in wearing my military uniform and purchased two single scoops for my kids at $7.85 each. When I handed one to my son, he accidentally dropped it immediately. I politely informed the staff, and instead of showing any understanding, both employees looked visibly annoyed. One shorter female employee cleaned up the mess, and another employee named Tehiva replaced the scoop. However, the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional—she tossed the cup of ice cream onto the counter with an obvious attitude. If they had simply explained that they couldn’t replace the scoop because my son dropped it, I would have understood. Instead, the service felt rude and disrespectful. Paying nearly $8 for a “single scoop”

While on vacation here in March 2024. Our tour guide brought us here and highly recommend their locally made ice cream. 🍦 I got the ube single scoop on waffle cone. My husband got the cookie dough single scoop on a classic cone. It was very delicious 😋 and I can tell it was homemade. We would definitely return on our next vacation 😍
