Customer Reviews
I ordered a Quesadilla de Asada and it touched my soul. That thing was made with passion. I also ordered a Banana Latte and it was exquisite. Their specialty drinks are a delight. They also tend to have baked goods from outside that are baked fresh and delivered to the business. It's great to be able to try out the food that they themselves make and that others take for their customers to buy. Salvador, the owner, is a great guy. He and the rest of the people working there always provide great customer service. El Cafécto is successful in Watsonville and in the Santa Cruz/Monterey County because of its innovative Mexican-inspired menu and original drinks, such as the Guayaba Matcha Latte and the Cajeta/Piloncillo Lattes.
I’ve been buying their coffee since it was a pop-up and I can honestly say their coffee and food has only gotten better and better. So many new options ! Their pajarete is hands down my favorite. The owner, Salvador, puts so much time and effort into perfecting his craft and it has definitely paid off. Love me some Cafécto !! Definitely recommend 😋
Had my eye on this place for awhile. Today I doordashed the chiliquiles and wow it’s all sooo salty. I think if they seasoned a little less it would be delicious. The spices are great. But it’s all very very salty We also got a steak taco And breakfast taco! Both were very good. Def will be back for tacos.
I come here all the time and they’re always so kind and recommend me the best drinks. My go to was the cajeta and chai at first but they switched me over to their new special a guava matcha which I loved. The owner said he makes it himself! For food I always order the breakfast tacos with chorizo or chorizo chilaquiles, they’re always so crunchy and they make them with a green salsa.
My go-to spot before class! The matchas have a good amount of sweetness to it. Definitely give them a try! Food is also super delicious and has that homemade taste to it.
