Cafe Valentina

Our mission was to get some good pizza this weekend. We thought we would give Valentina’s a try. We ordered takeout, and were disappointed to find we paid for pepperoni but did not get it, and the grandma pie was thick crust and not thin as expected. Their sauce was chunky, garlicky and delicious. When we placed the order I said to get ranch because Italian restaurants always have good homemade ranch. The broccoli bites were tasty with bacon in them, but the ranch dressing was a pack of Ken’s ranch and gross blue cheese salad dressing. Overall it was good, but you know that feeling when you were looking forward to something and talked about it for 2 days and then it doesn’t happen? Yes, that. We’ll keep looking.

Went here because our favorite Vale Cucina was closed. This store is a mess. Not sure how they get any good reviews at all. Gave us the wrong item. Crabcakes had giant of shell in them - definitely a chocking hazard. Pasta is soggy. Garlic bread is ok but VERY greasy. Overall, save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else…

Interior needs a good cleaning. The shelf the cold/old pizza sits on 🤢. Door needs a little paint & windows need a wiping. The lighting, maybe for ambiance are low, it actually amplifies the cleanliness opportunities. Alright? Enough beating these folks up. They have REAL MOZZARELLA STICKS!!! If you are following me you know how I feel about this… If you are an Italian or Pizza place you need to have these, if not it’s sacrilege. The sticks themselves were not great, if you were to put a gun to my head I would say the oil needs to be changed. With that said the Marinara was excellent!!! I would bathe in it, js. The cheeseburger sub came with fries a plus but due to take out packaging they were gross. Another take away for restaurant owners, fried foods should never be sealed up

There was an abundance of food that we ordered as a takeout order while visiting family in Wilmington. They turned around a 7 entree order in 30 minutes. It was delicious! Huge portions, monster garlic knot bread, tasty side salads, and lots of leftovers! Thanks for accommodating us on a busy Saturday night!

Traveling from out of state to find a great pizza shop, I came across Cafe Valentina off a suggestion from family in the area. I loved it! We ordered two large cheese pizzas and two orders of garlic rolls. Pizza is New York style and the dough is made fresh and went well with the cheese and sauce. No plates needed, just grab a slice, fold it over and consume, then repeat. The rolls were covered in garlic & oil. Again dough was very well made. Price was inexpensive as everything mentioned was less then $30. This is the place to go! Service was quick for our order on a Saturday.
