Cafe Athens

My husband and I were looking for something yummy to eat before our appointments in the area, but we arrived closer to our appointment times than expected. We decided to risk it, and are so glad we did! Within 30 minutes we had been seated, served absolutely delicious food and drinks, had our food in to-go boxes and the check in front of us, which almost no intervention on our part. The space was also decorated nicely and had lots of natural light. I got the “gyro quesadilla”, which was a refreshing spin on traditional Greek food in America and a huge bonus if you’re one of those people, like me, who dislike getting their hands all goopy while eating. Great spot!

Food was decent. Fast without friendly service. Very expensive.

I ordered the Souvlaki Gyro, it was a generous portion of moist and delicious, lamb meatballs in a warm, perfect pita. It was smothered in tzatziki and with sliced tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, and lettuce. Get plenty of napkins and enjoy the sandwich. The meal comes with the gyro, a side, and a drink. Cafe Athens has 10 different Gyro sandwiches that include the lamb, beef, chicken, falafel and a vegetarian option. You also have a choice of several sauces that include Tzatziki Sauce , Spicy BBQ, or Gyros Hot & Spicy with Jalapenos and Tabasco. The sides includes the option of french fries, wedge potatoes, spinach rice, pasta orzo, pasta salad, mixed veggies, or a greek side salad. The food here is absolutely incredible and the service is always extremely fast and friendly. The food here is some of the best in town, everything is AMAZING! I can't help but get the gyro meal every time. Not to mention, they have the actual best French fries in town, and that's a fact. Wowowowowow I can't get enough. 10/10

Their food is decent but I really hope their kitchen is much cleaner than their restroom. It was extremely dusty and quite overdue for a cleaning. And as others mentioned, it is very echoey in there. $4.95 for a drink is quite high. Will be hesitant to go again.
