Customer Reviews
Not to be dramatic but Banh is so so so good. Genuinely everything I’ve tried on the menu has been really incredible and the flavors are executed so well and with so much depth. In particular I really really recommend the Com Tam (Special Combination broken rice) as well as the BBQ Pork Banh Mi (it is genuinely delightfully smoky). Truly a delicious restaurant and well worth the wait each time.
One of the best pho and bahn mi spots in the city. Don't take reservation must get there early else wait on the plastic stools outside. Lots of rarer app items not regularly found in the city. Second location after original one far north in Fordham Bronx, now a thrid in east village. Gotta admit I'm bit biased living nearby and occassionally pickup something on the way home.
Fresh hearty and homemade. Fast service. Generous portions for the price. Really love the pork combo plate, especially the pork and the mushroom quiche. They have amazing spicy chili paste on the side. I also love their rice—round grained, unlike the generic rice you get at Asian restaurants. Their fried fish noodle soup is amazing!! I love the fish cakes in the soup and the fresh dill. Their vegetable curry is also fantastic, so hearty and well-balanced (neither too salty nor too sweet, just perfect). If you come at peak hours there can be a wait of up to half an hour. They do takeout.
Visited Bánh at 942 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, and it was an absolute delight! The moment I walked in, the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and savory fillings filled the air. I ordered the classic Bánh Mì, and it was a symphony of flavors. The baguette was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft within, while the combination of tender meat, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs was simply outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Bánh to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Vietnamese sandwich in New York!
Too much carbs for each dish for our preference but the pho soup was delicious, the fried spring rolls were good too.
