One of the best spots you can go to in NYC Chinatown for a classic banh mi sandwich! The baguette is toasted & crunchy, the pickled radish gives it a kick, and the protein is very filling (pun intended haha). This snack is nice paired with a vietnamese coffee and chilling inside as they have counter type seating. They take cash & card, and would recommend to locals, tourists, and anyone!
Quick, small place to grab some banh mi and other sides if you're in the mood for Viet food. I had the #1 which was a grilled pork and it was a good size with good flavor. Bread was fresh and not stale either. I also did a shrimp summer roll and papaya salad with shrimp which was very fresh.
Delish banh mi! Ordered the number 1 and the pork was great. It is very busy so you may wait a while to get your food, but it’s a good spot to grab a bite.
I ordered a pork banh mi and was decent and reasonably priced, there is seating and no tip is required at this establishment. Service is fast as well. It was a bit on the sweet side which I wasn’t a huge fan of. I know this has nothing to do with the food itself, but I did notice that they had several koi/goldfish cramped in one tank and one of them seemed to have a tumor/skin issue (or maybe even a birth defect). That tank seemed too small for even one of them. :/
I personally believe this is the best vietnamese Banh Mi in manhattan. I always get #13 which is the OG cold cut combo. If you want to Introduce your friends to Banh Mi... bring them here. First timers would probably like the #1 sandwich. Which is just bbq pork. Or the #10 which is the lemongrass pork sandwich. Fast friendly customer service and very organized
