This is truly a location for history buffs and those who want to get away from it all. It is clean,good hosts, and scenic. The building is a former bachelor farmer's cottage. Nothing fancy, but fully functional. Definitely off the beaten path. It is a great location for the hunter needing a place to stay or a Kansas history buff looking for an interesting site. There are Butterfield-Overland Trail ruts just to the north. Close to Fort Downer (Private Property) and not far from Castle Rock. Don't plan on Internet connectivity beyond Cell Phone. There are other basic amenities Sat TV which provide basic comfort. The food provided for breakfast was wonderful and filling. Definitely a plus.
