Budget Inn

Older classic motel showing some age. Very clean and comfortable. Not the Hilton but a fraction of the cost. If you need a place to shower and get a good night's sleep this is it. The manager, Wayne, is a real character and a pleasure to talk with. Highly recommend.

Some good some bad. The room I had was clean and everything worked. The decor was old and badly in need of work. Poor grouting in bathroom, lot of areas needing paint or were poorly painted. Leaky outside door. The picture above the bed looked like it was the box cover of a puzzle. Drapes barely covered window and when closed blocked window heater air conditioner. Not much for outlets, but the carpet was in decent shape and seemed clean.|No coffee in room but there was a microwave and refrigerator. Bed was so so. The owner/manager/desk clerk was friendly although his shoulder length bushy hair was distracting and unusual. Coffee at the front desk was good and available before six AM. No breakfast however. Room price was reasonable but I wouldn't say cheap. I think I expected a little bit

Positive: The manager was a delight. He was very accommodating and a pleasure to meet. Negative: The room was clean and updated with new carpet. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The drapes need updating as they were ripped.

This is the local business that needs to be support. The building might not be as good as it looks like. But the staff is so kind and humble. It is pretty safe, the room is so clean and the shower water is so good. It is quiet and I have a great sleep.

Wayne is running this business for more than 40 years ! Friendly welcome. Room was painted last year and is clean. From here, 45 mn needed to visit the national parks.
